A cannonpult is a medieval siege engine that makes use of a spring-loaded arm to launch projectiles at enemy fortifications. Cannonpults had been first developed in China through the third century BC, and so they had been used extensively in warfare till the appearance of gunpowder artillery within the fifteenth century.
Cannonpults had been highly effective weapons, able to hurling giant stones or different projectiles over nice distances. They had been usually used to assault enemy partitions or towers, and so they is also used to launch flaming projectiles to set hearth to enemy buildings.
